Why?

Since starting De Novo Press, I've had a few questions from friends, contractors, and potential authors. The most common one by far, is "Why did you start De Novo?". 

I was actually first inspired to start DNP when I realized how much time I spent reading stories and fanfiction on places like Reddit and other forums. 

Not only was I spending tons of time reading these stories, I was enjoying the hell out of myself.

After breaking away from the stories themselves, I started looking into the writers and readers of these stories. The vast majority of these writers didn't consider themselves authors. They were servers, accountants, office workers, bartenders, and all of the people who make our world go round. 

I've collected books since I can remember and love reading and writing more than nearly anything else.

Realizing that even the really great stories I read on the internet, were unlikely to be seen by anyone other than subscribers to those forums. 

I started De Novo Press for all those bankers, construction workers, and stay at home parents who ARE authors and deserve to have their stories told.
